Coppicing and tree planting at Pennyquick Park

The Community Action for Nature Group is going to be working over the rest of the winter to make Carr’s Wood and Pennyquick Park better for nature.  At this session, we’ll be coppicing the hazel – this traditional technique cuts back the shrub, enabling it to rejuvenate.

All equipment will be provided and no skills are required, just wear suitable clothing and bring a packed lunch.

Meet at the entrance on Newton Road, opposite Shaws Way near BA2 1QG.

It would be really helpful if you could drop Nicole a text to let her know you’re coming, so she knows how many tools to bring.
