Want to take your teaching outside the classroom but don’t know where to start? This workshop is for you!

We all know how much children love to learn and play in nature, but taking learning outside the four walls of the classroom can seem daunting. In this Zoom-based FREE workshop we will explore how to get started in outdoor learning, using evidence-based practice, real life examples and tried and tested techniques that support learning across the curriculum, in a practical and safe way.

We will also share a suite of resources created by Avon Wildlife Trust and Bathscape, in collaboration with local primary schools and volunteers, including guides for planning visits to local nature sites in Bath, Twerton Round Hill, and Carr’s Wood.

This workshops is suitable for anyone involved or interested in engaging children with the outdoors – primary school staff, community groups, Friends of Parks groups, etc.
