There are still ways you can get involved with the Bathscape project during lockdown:

Recording Wildlife

We are always looking to add to our species records for the area so if you spot anything of interest in your garden or whilst out taking your daily exercise please do submit your records to our local records centre, BRERC, using this form. If you are new to recording wildlife and are uncertain about species identification there are lots of tools online to help. If you have a smartphone you can download the free iNaturalist app. We promote this during the annual City Nature Challenge, but it can be used year round. We’ve made a handy video guide on how to use it.

Researching & Writing Articles

We’re looking to increase the resources on the learn page of our website by adding short articles on topics such as local natural history, heritage, and stories of how the Bath’s architecture and growth is connected to its geology and landscape. We are also keen to focus on less well known social history. If you would be interested in researching and writing an article for us (of approximately 1000 words) or would like more details, please do get in touch.
