This is an area of small earthworks in Englishcombe village, visible from nearby footpaths. The ditch and banks in a ringwork design are all that remains of the castle, thought to have been built between the 11th and 13th Century.

Set in a rolling, tranquil farming landscape, the picturesque villages of Englishcombe and Newton St Loe feature medieval churches and thatched cottages.

This area is easy to reach from the western edge of Bath, including from Twerton Roundhill.
