Second stage of this amazing walk takes us from Batheaston to Lansdown, approximately 5 miles

This is the second of three walks along the Circuit of Bath trail. We start from the public car park at Batheaston. You will need to park on local roads as the car park has a three-hour limit and the walk will be longer than this.

From Batheaston we start the climb to Little Solsbury Hill where we can take in the views to Bath and the surrounding countryside.

We then descend to Upper Swainswick before entering the pretty Woolley Valley. From here we take the long climb to Lansdown, once at the top we make our way along the ridge, passing Beckford’s Tower before arriving at the Lansdown Park and Ride.

Guided by your walk leaders we will return to the start point using public transport.

Please bring snacks and a packed lunch.

The finish time is approximate and includes the travel back to Batheaston.

The walk leaders are Steve Holbrow and Gwyneth Littlejohn from Cotswold Voluntary Wardens. The meeting point is Batheaston Car park, near the bridge – w3w.co/blog.smug.sheet
