The walk is a very hilly urban and countryside walk. We meet in front of Caffé Nero then cross the River Avon and head uphill to Alexandra Park for amazing views of the City. We then skirt Widcombe and via Rainbow Woods we arrive at Sham Castle for more beautiful city views. After walking through woods and meadows to Bathampton we finish in Batheaston. From there it’s short bus ride back to where we started. This route is planned to make use of public transport. No cars needed but please bring method of payment/pass.

No booking required. Warden leaders will take all reasonable care and precautions, but each walker is ultimately responsible for their own safety and for determining their capability to complete the chosen walk. Only assistance dogs are allowed on these walks. All walks by the Voluntary Wardens are FREE OF CHARGE however donations are welcome and help them to take care of the countryside.
