The Big BaNES 100K 2025

Walkers, runners, cyclists, and water lovers! We are inviting you to take part in this year’s Big BaNES 100k – a flexible, nature-based challenge supporting local youth charities Mentoring Plus and Off The Record (OTR).

We are inviting local residents to cover 100km in any way they choose – be it walking, cycling, swimming, or paddling. Participants are encouraged to raise money for every step, pedal, and paddle they take.

Every pound raised will help local young people aged 5-25 access vital mental health and wellbeing support, and help protect these lifeline programmes from devastating funding cuts.

What is The Big BaNES 100k?

The Big BaNES 100k is a flexible fundraising challenge running until Friday 26th September.

Hosted by youth charities Mentoring Plus and Off The Record, with walking initiatives The Bath 5k Map, Bathscape and Walk Bath, it invites people of all ages and abilities to get outside and complete 100km – how ever they choose.

Walk, run, cycle, swim – do it solo or with friends, family or colleagues – and fundraise with every step, pedal or paddle. However you reach the finish line, we’re sure you’ll enjoy the journey – and you’ll be making a real difference to young people in your community.

Why get involved?

It’s a great way to get active this summer, explore the outdoors, and take on a personal challenge – all while supporting local young people. The funds you raise will help Mentoring Plus and Off The Record reach 5–25year-olds facing difficulties like mental health struggles, family breakdown or problems at school. Your support will help them build confidence, develop resilience, and thrive – now and in the future.
