All are welcome to take part in this year’s pilgrimage, organised by Bath Inter Faith Group in association with Bathscape Walking Festival. This year’s event has a genuine inter faith element to it, as we explore a variety of sites of religious and historical interest on the south side of the city of Bath. It will also be an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful countryside.

The route, mainly on footpaths and side roads, includes Haycombe cemetery, the historic churches at Englishcombe and South Stoke, a number of chapels of other denominations, the Hindu temple at Rush Hill, the site of Culverhay Castle and stretches of the Saxon Wansdyke, a site of Druid interest, the burial ground for the Bath Workhouse at Odd Down, the city’s Jewish Burial  Ground at Combe Down, ending at the Bath Islamic Centre in the City.

The walk is 7.5 miles long and will take us around 5.5 hours.  It’s open to all, including children who are happy to walk this distance.  There are some steep sections, stiles and steps.  There are toilet facilities at points along the trip.  People are welcome to bring dogs.

The walk is led by Bath Inter Faith Group.
