Walk 1 – Lansdown P&R – Batheaston

7.7km/4.8 miles with significant hills

The complete Circuit of Bath route is 21.5 miles long. For these guided walks, we have broken it up into three walks in March, April and May. You are welcome to join one, two or all of them.

This first leg goes from Lansdown Park & Ride with a panorama of the city before heading north for breath-taking views across the Swainswick Valley to iconic Little Solsbury Hill, which you later ascend, before finishing in the river-side village of Batheaston. We will aim for a picnic stop atop Little Solsbury Hill so please bring lunch with you. From Batheaston the walk leaders will guide you back to the start using public transport to retrieve cars parked there if necessary. You are welcome to leave the group at Batheaston, or in Bath city centre, if you prefer.

Places are limited, and booking is essential – you can sign up here.

Please note, the finishing time is approximate.  We’ll be in touch just before the event with more information.

You’ll be guided round by Nicole Daw, Trails and Access Officer, Cotswolds Natural Landscape and Bathscape Walk Leader, Steve Holbrow.
