First stage of this amazing walk takes us from Odd Down to Batheaston, approximately 9 miles.

We start from the Odd Down Park and Ride, do remember to pay for parking, and have a level walk to the Millenium Viewpoint.

From here we descend to the valley and follow the route of the disused Somersetshire Coal Canal in its beautiful rural setting to the picturesque village of Midford.

We then make our way to Tucking Mill and Monkton Combe before reaching Brassknocker Basin. From here our route takes us along the Kennet and Avon canal to Bathampton.

We then walk through the National Trust’s Bathampton Meadows, before crossing the River Avon to reach Batheaston. Guided by your walk leaders we will return to the start point using public transport.

Please bring snacks and a packed lunch.

The finish time is approximate and includes the travel back to the P&R.

The walk leader is Steve Holbrow from Cotswold Voluntary Wardens.  The meeting point is Odd Down Park and Ride, w3w.co/curving.glaze.listed
