The last great medieval cathedral to have been built in England. There has been a place of Christian worship on the site for over 1000 years, though the churches have undergone many periods of rebuilding and restoration.

Please check the website for opening hours and other information before you visit.

With a central location, many other features of the landscape can be visited on the same day as a visit to the Abbey. You can head along North Parade – with views to Pulteney Bridge – over the Kennet & Avon Canal and up the hill to visit the meadows at Bathwick Fields with fantastic views back to the city.
